Following the Curtiss Robin Series. this release corresponding to the Robin C, this aircraft mounted a Curtiss Challenger engine.

Quantity

The Newsboy was a Curtiss Robin C powered by a Curtiss Challenger engine, and became the first aircraft used for the regular delivery of a newspaper: the McCook Gazette, founded in 1911 by Harry Strunk.

In 1929, the Gazette began aerial distribution across southwest Nebraska and northern Kansas, making it the first newspaper in the world to be delivered regularly by air. Piloted by Steve Tuttle, the Newsboy service continued until 1930, when the aircraft was damaged.
