Curtiss Robin Sunshine
1/72 Scale model kit composed by polyuretan resin and 3D printed resin, transparent parts in clear transparent epoxi resin.
This is the first version of the Curtiss Robin Series. In addition to the Sunshine, the Robin B version with the Curtiss OX-5 engine and the Robin C version with the Curtiss Challenger engine will also be released. These versions will also be available in 1/48 scale.
In gray, you can see the parts common to all versions, and in red, the parts specific to the Sunshine.
Douglas "Wrong Way" Corrigan flew in 1938 from New York with the intention of reaching Los Angeles, but due to navigation errors or miscalculations, he ended up flying to Dublin, Ireland, after 28 hours of flight. He claimed that he became disoriented and unintentionally headed in the wrong direction, but many doubted the story, suspecting it was more of a stunt. Regardless, his flight captured public attention, and Corrigan became a famous figure in aviation history, known for his daring and unconventional journey. This kit represents the Sunshine the Curtiss Robin the plane with which he accomplished the feat.
