1/48 Wright J-6-9 Whirlwind (two exhaust tubes in parallel)
The Wright J-6-9 Whirlwind (military designation Wright R-975) was a nine-cylinder air-cooled radial engine of the J-6 series, with power ranging from 300 to 475 HP. This engine was very popular. During the Second World War thousands were produced, and today they keep a lot of them especially of the R-975 military variant, so much so that when airplanes equipped with it are restored, this version of the engine is used more than the civilian J-6-9 that was the original.
The engine was offered in the civil version with at least two versions of combustion smoke collectors, in this version it is offered with the exhaust pipes in parallel under the fuselage, among other aircraft it equipped the Travel Air 6000B
