Chester Special No. 2 "The GOON"

1/48 Scale model kit of the famous Air Racer designet by Art Chester, Chester Special #2 "The Goon" this model is composed by resin polyuretan cast for the fuselage and wings. 3D printed resin for the interior pieces, undercarriage and propeller part. A vacuum with two canopys as transparent part. The decals are printed by: ARCTIC DECALS

After the success with the Chester Special #1 "Jeep", Art Chester designs the Chester Special #2 "The Goon". This racer improves the "Jeep" with a powerful engine Menasco C-6-S Buccaneer of six cylinders instead the Menasco C-4-S Pirate of the "Jeep", retractil undercarriage, very aerodynamic profile and closed cabin.

This aircraft was built to participate in the 1938 National Air Races, where he came second in the 1938 Greve Trophy Races, and in 1939 got the first place in the 1939 National Air Races. The Goon was purchased in 1991 by the Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, where it is shown.
